![]() So, Sunday night I went to the movies and I watched the movie Robin Hood and at 10 o' clock I watched the television adaption to the novella with the same name by George R.R. Martin. So, let's talk about Robin Hood - I'm not going to say I hated (because it was fairly enjoyable) but I had a lot of inner monologue with myself through the whole movie. I don't know if it was me or not, but I couldn't help but look at their clothing the entire time. They had leather, some weird matte material, fur coats (like movie star coats), steel, metal you name it. It felt kind of "out of context" don't get me wrong, if you aren't a history buff you won't notice. It was pretty much "the story before Robin Hood" and toward the end I'm like - "oh, I see what they did there..." It was - okay in a sense (apparently, Rotten Tomato hated it with a passion) but I'd say if you aren't a critical person and you know very little of Robin Hood (I don't know who doesn't) but watch it.The person who plays Robin Hood to me doesn't seem like a Robin Hood, he seems like he could be a Peter Parker, or a young James Bond (and I just realized he was in Kingsmand Secret Service so...there's that, funny. Jamie Foxx did pretty good, I was actually surprised! Even if you do know Robin Hood and stuff, just don't think too hard, and it's pretty okay (though the "YA Romance" think got me - or at least, I joked that it seemed like that. Like after a certain point it's like "oh...I see what you're doing there. Why did this happen to begin with?) Hopefully, I didn't ruin that with that line. Anyway, NightFlyers... I like Martin and his Game of Throne series - I've heard of a few others, like Wild Cards, but this was an interesting show. While watching I was like, reading the book probably would give me more information, but I'm sure it will be slow because the TV show seemed to go fast (not too fast) but it was still interesting as a plot. I probably won't watch the next episode because they had "that kind of scientist" (You know the ones in Jurassic Park or Jaws that "create" or love that so-called experiment, but then it starts killing people....yeah, that one). That scientist was just like annoying where it was like, it is happen WAY to frequent for you to think it is NOT happening. The beginning was good, it shows that horror, and throughout it whatever this is, is screwing with their minds. So, I mean, Sci-fi, and a plot-driven right up your alley!
